help > pk *** IMPORTANT NEW NOTE: All aggressive actions now have an 'aggressor' and a 'victim'. Aggressive actions against another player (in other words, being an 'aggressor' above) increases your quit timer up to a maximum of 5 minutes. In all cases a victim may fight back against their aggressor without gaining any quit timer. An aggressor who continues to fight their 'victim' will continue to gain quit timer (though only through the use of active skills and abilities). *** IMPORTANT NEW NOTE: If someone is aggro (they have a quit timer > 10 seconds) they will show up under 'who aggro' and cannot quit until this expires. However (*NEW*) if you attack them without them having first initiated the hostile action then YOU are now the aggressor and you will get an aggro quit timer. TSUNAMI PLAYER KILLING (PK) RULES - Players less than level 10 cannot *EVER* perform a hostile action or have one performed upon them. This is when a player gets to learn the MUD. - Players level 10 and above may initiate hostile actions on other players within 3 levels below of them. - Any player (level 10 and up) may initiate a hostile action with a player up to 3 levels higher than them. - Heroes are fair game for any other hero, low level heroes may still attack up to 4 levels lower. - Hostile actions increase your quit timer by 300 seconds. This includes the use of skills against other players. You can see hostile, or aggressive, players by using 'who aggro'. It is not considered a hostile action defending yourself against someone who "started it" by performing a hostile action on you. - Stealing increases your quit timer relative to the amount or value that was stolen. - PKing another person rewards the killer with Jihad PK standing. The killer receives 2x the victim's level in PK standing, unless the victim was a member of a faction hated by the killer's faction, in which case the killer receives 5x the victim's level in PK standing. If you kill someone of your own Jihad faction, you lose 10x their level in PK standing. - There is a 3 kill limit for the amount of times a single person can PK you within a boot. - Certain subclasses, such as Chaosmages, are always attackable. - It is illegal to summon players to or near a room that contains aggressive NPCs. - It is illegal to 'trade' player kills. - Illegal PK actions will receive administrative actions including temporary banishment, loss of experience, and permanent banishment. - Any abuse that allows for the circumvention of these rules will be deemed a bug and treated as such. If you find any of the above to be untrue when experienced in the game then it is a bug. Please use the 'bug' command to draw this oversight to the attention of a wizard.
