help > spells > facade -------------------------------------------------------------------- Spell : Facade Class : Illusionist Cost : 30 Casting time : 4 rounds Spell type : Illusion Syntax : cast facade <short>:<long> Examples : cast facade dispel (to end the illusion) cast facade a dark forest:Hardly any light pierces through the dense foliage. Trees loom high overhead, swaying gently in the breeze. This spell causes the room where it is cast to appear to be a completely different room, as specified by the caster. The illusionist can specify a new short description and a long description. The short description can be a relatively short description, for example: 'a dark forest' or 'Inside a building'. This is the description that the viewer(s) will see with the 'glance' command and when they first enter the room. The long description can be a bit longer, and would describe what the viewer(s) see when they typed 'look'. Because illusionists are masters of deception, they can easily dispel the facade of another illusionist. In other words, any illusionist can dispel any facade. For obvious reasons, the exits of the room cannot change. The directions will still be the same as the real room, as well as the destinations of those rooms. Also note that only valid characters are allowed in the descriptions. Obviously the colon (:) is only used to separate arguments, and otherwise only alphanumeric (0-9,a-z,A-Z,<space>,_,etc) are valid. -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
