A village in the Madlands is being stalked by an undying corpse! Help free the villagers of this horrible curse. The bard in Yamata's bar can tell you more.
Suggested Player Level to complete: 12
Note: Quest must be started in daytime to get into longhouses. Quest must be completed at NIGHT when Xagox wanders around the town.
Note: Bring a fish from Dixton fisherman (ride dixton, n)
From CoT: 4e, sail madlands.
West longhouse, north room, search room, search mud, gives paper
Give fish to kizi, she gives necklace and tells you secret name
Top of Hill has a large boulder in side
All n, sw exit
at boulder on north side, say awube, and your special name (on beads amulet)
Awube should come out, he will titter for a bit then head back into the cave.
You need to "enter cave" fast before the boulder appears again.
Once inside, talk to him, ask him about kizi, curse, solution.
He will offer to make you paste.
'read paper' before next section.
request paste
he will head into a back room, whilst he is there search his room. (search chair, search table, search mat, search bookshelf, etc)
'It will tell you where key is hidden (under a rock near the creek)
search bookshelf = find key. key moves. it says where it is. but it won't be there until you read that paper.you can search all you want but it won't appear
Once you have key, go back, request paste again to get him to leave the room. Unlock wardrobe, open wardrobe get all from wardrobe
Awube returns and is pissed that you have discovered his plan.
He starts to rip skin of etc & turns into a skinless god alteration.
He then attacks you, move 1 room at a time to the corpse xagox.
He will follow you if you have the efigy.
Soon as both are in room, sit back and watch the fireworks.
Quest done.

From CoT go 4e, sail madlands
1. Go nw, 3n and talk to tanuk.
2. ask tanuk about soulless, ask tanuk about madlands, ask tanuk about monsters,
ask tanuk about kizi, ask tanuk about xagox.
3. Find Kizi, usually 2s, ne, and talk to kizi.
4. ask kizi about xagox
5. Go to Dixton, and kill an old fisherman (1n from boat) to get a fresh fish (if he doesn't have one, use
the rod to "fish" at various docks until you catch one)
6. give fish to kizi.
7. Remember the secret name of the necklace of beads that Kizi gives you. "tibe"
8. ask kizi about necklace.
9. Go sw, s, w, n and look walls, look corner, search corner.
10. read parchment.
11. Go s, e, n, ne, n, ne, 2n, nw, sw, wear necklace, and say the two names together. "tibe awube"
12. enter cave when Awube comes out and enters again.
13. talk to awube.
14. ask awube about cure.
15. request paste.
16. spread paste on <weapon>.
17. Go ne, se, 2s, sw, s, sw at night and kill xagox.
18. Wait for a while, then leave, since paste does not work.
19. Go back to Awube's cave, wear necklace, and say the two names together.
20. enter cave when Awube comes out and enters again.
21. talk to awube.
22. request paste.
23. When he is gone, search the furniture until you find a paper, it will tell you where a key is hidden
24. Go out and get the key
25. Go back to Awube's cave, wear necklace, and say the two names together.
26. enter cave when Awube comes out and enters again.
27. request paste.
28. unlock wardrobe with key.
29. open wardrobe.
30. get effigy from wardrobe.
31. Wait until Awube speaks his piece, then slowly walk back to Xagox to drag Awube to him to end the
quest.
