The Bard shudders and says:

The ancient warrens that lie beneath this city should never 
have been excavated.  Foolish wizards follow their curiousity,
but it may very well be the undoing of us all.  In some
of the most ancient texts are rumors of a civilization founded
on conquest and the twisted whims of its ruling class.  It is
said that eventually the most thirsty of these bloodthirsty 
monarchs ascended over his rivals in an orgy of pain
and blood of which I dare not consider.  It was in this way
that Torgoch, the most feared of the Blood Lords first gained
his taste for worship.

There is no telling what one day might be found in those accursed
depths.  If it were up to me, I would fill that hole, level this
town and start anew far far away.
