The Bard says:
Talamport is a peaceful fishing village located in the northern regions
of Tsunami.  The town is being run by a mayor who has suddenly turned 
vicious and cruel, taxing the citizens way beyond their means.  A 
powerful mage and wisened preserver collect monsters from all over
Tsunami and conduct research on them in Talamport.  While relatively 
peaceful the last time I was last there, I hear word from travelers
that there are many strange tidings there now.

The easiest way to get to Talamport is to find a merchant ship sailing
there.  Many such ships frequent the western shore of the mainland.
