I have made a few tweaks to the Shadows of All Night Falling quest. I
won't go into a lot of specifics but I can say I've added a few more
hints, and I've made it a good deal less deadly to complete and explore,
particularly if you pay attention.

If you've previously tried it and got discouraged and/or killed, consider
trying again.
