Rejoice, for you are now able to 'sell' (demolish) your lot. Selling your
house will return 40% of the actual gold value of the house, and will
auto-deposit the 40% return and all gold stashed in the house to your bank
account. You will immediately lose access to the house, but nothing will
be lost. All the house data is still stored (layout, room descriptions,
items, lockers, safes, entry lists) in case you decide to purchase another
house. Rebuilding your ouse after demolishing it will cost 50% of the
original cash value (a loss of 10% for selling, then rebuilding.)

It's worth noting that you can MOVE your house for free if you don't like
the location by going to an empty lot and typing 'build house' there. So
if you were interested in selling just to move, you can do so without any
cost to you.
