Tsunami Newsletter [Issue #1]
Welcome to the very first issue of the Tsunami Newsletter! Tsunami has undergone a great many changes and we wanted to outline some of our recent happenings as well as entice you with some work in progress.
Recent Changes
First and foremost, Tsunami has moved to an account login system. All characters are tied to an account which offers, among other things, the ability to delete characters cleanly and accurately for the first time in our illustrious history.
A lot of equipment has been retooled recently so seek out old sources of power and see how they might have changed.
House taxes were cut in half or more!
As usual, lots of subclasses have been rebalanced in an effort to revive some of the lesser played subclasses.
Upcoming Events
Monday, July 14th 2008 we celebrate 14 years of Tsunami's current incarnation. For more information on Tsunami's history (including before 14 years ago) see /history.php. On the 14th, Tsu-Day, we will celebrate with double experience the entire day and a host of other special prizes and events. Be sure to show up and see what's happening!
We have many other events (termed Holidays) planned. Log in and see the 'holidays' command to see what events are coming up and what you might expect for those holidays. Daily at 5pm-6pm (server time) we have Happy Hour where all the pub drinks are double strength! Not wanting to reduce the price of their products our pub owners instead just pour more of the good stuff.
Work in Progress
Twars (booted-wars) are undergoing some changes which include top player rankings, special awards for exemplary skill, and other bonuses.
At least three new subclasses are being added to Tsunami's already large selection of ways to play. All three promise to present an interesting twist on current subclasses. For a taste, see 'help babau' or /help.php?class/babau. The babau are about 90% complete and represent Tsunami's first faction prestige class. The Blood Lords will be the first to send their elite chosen to Tsunami for war!
Our website () has seen major improvements in the help system and even more changes are on the horizon.
In Conclusion...
We put a lot of effort into Tsunami to bring our imagination to life and truly hope our players find it a great avenue for their adventures. We welcome suggestions, ideas, and work hard to fix bugs.
